Here is a recent star trail image that I made in the Sugar Bush (Maple) forest of Grand Portage, MN. It is a 38 minute exposure of the night sky on a clear spring night. The long exposure records the light from the stars as they track across the sky, creating trails of light. I found this tree over the past winter while I was riding my fat bike around in the forest. Once I saw it I knew I had to make some images of it with the night sky. It is a very photogenic tree!
