Black Wolf Falls - Mineral King Valley

After our hike to Paradise Peak we did a little sightseeing along the remainder of the Mineral King Road.  We took a drive up to the end of the road and did the short walk to Black Wolf Falls, a beautiful waterfall that comes down out of the mountains.  There is an old mine shaft that goes into the cliff face on the side of the waterfall, a reminder of the prospecting history of Mineral King valley.  The water level was very low but it was a refreshing end to a long day of hiking along the dry, dusty trail to Paradise Peak.
