Here is another photo from last night's aurora storm, this one taken at 1:00 AM along the Pigeon River in Grand Portage, MN. I love photographing the aurora when you have a strong water element that you can include in your foreground. Having calm water to reflect what's going on in the sky sure adds a lot to a photo! For those that may not know, the Pigeon River in northeast Minnesota is the international border between the United States and Ontario, Canada. I am standing on the Minnesota side, looking across the river at Canada.
