I've been seeing a lot of Mountain Ash berries this winter, but until now none of them have caught my eye enough to pull over and take a picture of them. When I saw this bunch I couldn't resist. There were so many clumps and the berries were still in pretty good shape. And they all had nice little caps of snow sitting on them!

A typical winter day at Trail Center along the Gunflint Trail in northern Minnesota. The snowmobiles outnumber the cars and trucks. If you've been up the Gunflint but never stopped at Trail Center, check it out sometime. Great food and great people! I can't resist their maple milkshake :-)

This was a cool sight to see as I drove along County Road 60 near Grand Marais, MN the other day. These clouds which looked like waves definitely begged for a stop to take their picture.
The drive to work yesterday was extra special thanks to roughly 4 inches of fresh, wet snow that coated everything in a beautiful blanket of white!
