River Roots
Here is another close-up study of the spring water flow on the Gooseberry River. I was really intrigued by these tree roots near Lower Gooseberry Falls and thought they would make for an interesting photo along with the flowing water. The trick was in composing a nice shot of the scene, as it was a very "messy" scene with a lot of elements to try and make into a pleasing image. I messed around with both vertical and horizontal compositions. My initial thought was that vertical was going to work best but in the end my favorite was this horizontal shot. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed making it!
