Here is a photograph that shows a portion of the Great Blue Heron rookery. There are 6 herons visible in this photo, although on one of them all you can see is its beak sticking out from behind a tree. There are 17 total nests in this rookery and also an osprey nest that is in the same area. It sure is a fun place to sit with a camera for a few hours!
