Yesterday was an interesting day for ice along the Lake Superior shoreline between Grand Portage and Grand Marais. Strong winds off the lake broke up the thin surface ice and pushed it along the shoreline in interesting piles. When I saw this scene the 3 elements (rock, ice and water) and they way they were laid out really caught my eye.
