In just a few more days Jessica and I will be celebrating the 3rd anniversary of our wedding. We got married on March 20, 2013 and immediately afterward we headed for Utah for a couple of weeks of hiking and camping in the canyons and deserts of the southwest. This photo was made a little over halfway through our trip. Taken in Lower Hackberry Canyon on a beautiful sunny southwest afternoon, it was a perfect day for this hike.
Today in the western Lake Superior region we are experiencing some sloppy spring weather. It rained all last night and today it is snowing, with anywhere from 5 to 15 inches of the white stuff in the forecast. It's a good day to be looking through old photos and reminiscing of sunny days hiking in the beautiful backcountry of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Looking through all these photos of the beautiful Utah canyon country is definitely giving me the bug to go back!
